Privacy notice
This notice explains how Caravan2Cash handles personal information when you contact us or request a valuation.
Who we are
Caravan2Cash is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us by phone on 07729 331999 or by post at Reiver Group, Harker, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA6 4DS, United Kingdom (company number 15820714).
Information we collect
- Your name, phone number, email address and contact preference.
- The postcode where the vehicle is kept, and the region derived from it.
- Vehicle details: type, manufacturer, model, year, berth, mileage and condition.
- Photographs you choose to upload.
- Technical information such as how you arrived at this site, for measuring which pages work.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To prepare and discuss a valuation, and to progress a purchase — legitimate interests and, where a purchase proceeds, performance of a contract.
- To contact you about your enquiry using the method you chose — legitimate interests.
- To send marketing about our services — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet legal obligations relating to vehicle purchases and accounting — legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where necessary: with service providers who host our systems and handle communications on our behalf, with transport providers arranging collection, and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase are kept only as long as needed to answer them and for a limited period afterwards. Records relating to a completed purchase are kept for the period required by UK accounting and vehicle record-keeping law, currently six years from the end of the relevant financial year.
Your rights
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Ask for erasure where we no longer need the data.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Restrict processing, or ask for your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on.
To exercise any of these, contact us on 07729 331999 or by post at the address above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
