Yes, and it is very common. We can inspect and collect from a storage yard, farm or seasonal pitch as long as access is arranged. Check the site's rules on viewings and removal, tell us the opening hours, and let us know whether you need to be present.

What to check with the site
- Whether the site allows inspections and removal, and on which days
- Gate opening hours and whether a key, code or barrier fob is needed
- Whether you or an authorised person must be present
- Any notice period or outstanding storage fees
What we need to know
- The site address, and where the caravan sits within it
- Whether there is room to hitch up and manoeuvre a tow vehicle
- Ground conditions — grass, gravel or hardstanding
- Whether the tyres hold air and the brakes are free
Ownership and access are separate things
Storage records can help evidence ownership, but the site cannot authorise a sale on your behalf. We still need proof that the caravan is yours to sell, or that you have authority to sell it, plus matching photo ID.
Caravans that have not moved for a while
A caravan that has sat on the same pitch for several seasons often needs a little preparation before it can be towed: tyres that have flat-spotted or perished, a seized handbrake, corroded jockey wheel or a battery that will not hold charge. None of that stops us buying it.
